Artist's Comments

I made this piece to be the successor to this one [link] [ENDO SKELETON I].. I even used some of the same elements, so I didnt expect this one to be astounding, but I have been working on different lighting techniques to get a certain mood. I hopefully instilled an unsettling one..

original is a stock from someone on DA, but I didnt directly download the image. It was given to me, so I do not know the owner.

I dont know.. I feel I've seen it before, specially the "high tech"-details on top of the image (the text with that arrow and such).
Have you tried with a dark color instead of the glowing eye? I often gaze into eyes and think of them as something mystic and therefore exciting, but that kinda crashes with the white light.

On the upper hand, this is a good piece of photomanipulation, the left eye looks perfect, so do 'her' lips. Keep it up buddy!

Amazing. Simply beautiful. The only thing I would do is remove the bottom right-hand tatto.

Sometimes in the dead of the night I mesmerize my soul.
Sights and visions, prophecies and horror they all come in one.

very interesting manipulation. The eye details are very well done and sit in the image well. The only thing I dont like/think help the image are the pieces of text and lines. It just takes focus away from the manipulation.

Good job on the manip, keep it up!

Since you asked me to look at this I will try my best to give you what I think is good and bad. I like ppl to look at my stuff and rip it apart because I learn from it and it makes me a better artist.. Remember this is only my opinion and opinions are like assholes, everyone’s got one ;) .

OK with that said I think you have a very good concept here and the manip is good to ok over all. I like the light that is inset into the eye socket allot, very good job. The light you have in the background and the way you have the highlight reflecting off the hair is a very good attention to detail and I like that.

Now the bad :( . Her right shoulder that had a washed out highlight on it looks terrible just left grey like that. Fill in that part with the clone tool and then add some texture on top of that. I never really liked when someone just slapped a bunch of textures all over the place to give it a grunge look. I think you went a little over board with the textures here. On the forehead I’m guessing that its suppose to be the inside of her head but its too soft and lacking detail plus where the skin ends, I think that would have looked better if the wound was a little more defined. The nose looks totally fake like it was stuck on there.

Like I said this is only my opinion. I like things to have more of a real look to them where others like more of a abstract look but I hope this helps you.

PS looked at your gallery and it is good, actually its real good for a beginner (please take that as a complement) . Your Collages is where your real strengths lies, they all are very good. My favorite one is "Keep your eyes open" simple yes but I like it allot.

You have skills, now you just need practice. Good Luck.
